After 8 miles, the river of lava reaches the ocean. This was just a small part of the nearly 2-mile wide ocean entry.
The rising sun created wonderful colors in the dangerous "laze" (lava haze that contains glass shards and hydrochloric acid). Laze is created when lava hits the ocean. This was shot from a boat.
